Alison Walker

Director

25+ years experience as an interim director, management consultant and people leader on Digital AI Transformation, OD and Engagement programmes. She operates at the intersection of people, digital/AI and strategy bringing different functions together to reimagine organisations and how they work for staff and citizens. She has consulted across Central Government departments and in Local Government, the NHS, Virgin, Atos, the BBC on SLT's, advised Boards and engaged people at all levels. Alison has worked with Labour Ministers, leading consultancies eg KPMG, Ideal Digital, Channel3, Hunter Healthcare and Tricordant and in secure SC and DV environments. She has an MBA from Kingston University Business School and is a post graduate of Oxford University's Said Business School's AI Transformation programme. She is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Management and a mentor for the European OD Forum, Business Case Green Book and a qualified HIMSS Digital Maturity Assessor. Alison is keen to support the transformation of services for those who access them by putting customers and service users at the heart of organisations, using feedback, sharing best practice and bringing in learning from what works in other sectors, adapting approaches to suit each organisation's special circumstances, culture and timeframe.

Interim

When you need senior leadership quickly and someone who can hit the ground running without a 3 month learning curve, Walker Fairway provides interim support across OD, AI and Digitisation, HR, Strategy and policy. We have stepped into Director-level roles across Government, the NHS and the Private Sector at short notice, often during major restructures, recoveries or periods of significant change. We know how to read an organisation quickly, build trust with staff and stakeholders, and deliver results within a defined window. Engagements are typically three to twelve months and we can start quickly handing over carefully when we finish.

Contracting

Sometimes you need specific expertise for a specific problem, just someone who knows what they are doing and can turn around quality work. Walker Fairway offers short-term contracting on a day rate or deliverables basis for project work, diagnostics, facilitation, report writing and stakeholder engagement strategies.
